Diana's Story

From Humble Beginnings

I have always been passionate about using whole foods to cook meals that taste great, but are also great for you. My interest in food and cooking started outright when I was in elementary school. I was brought up as part of a family of four with two working parents, and the cooking in our household was done primarily by my mother. Every once in a while, when she would arrive home late or exhausted from work, I would pitch in and help by cooking dinner for the night. What started as a chore, over the years, became a way for me to express my creativity and love for food and nutrition.

Today I am a full time wife,
working professional and athlete. I fully understand how difficult it is to balance a career and day-to-day responsibilities with meal-planning, shopping, cooking, and a healthy diet. I've designed this blog as a way to share best practices that I have learned in my journey to eat great food that is also great for you. It will include tips on meal planning, shopping, and nutrition, and share recipes and cooking techniques that have worked for our household and that we continue to use today.
